An elderly woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she was struck by a vehicle.
Peel Regional Police say they received a call from the Steeles and McLaughlin area at about 5:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Police and emergency crews arrived at the scene at Moffatt Avenue and Charolais Boulevard to find the elderly woman had been struck.
She was taken to a trauma centre where she is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
"The vehicle that was involved did remain on the scene and is cooperating with investigators," Const. Akhil Mooken told NEWSTALK1010. "It's still early in the investigation to determine if charges will be laid."
Mooken is appealing for witnesses or those with dashcam video to come forward.
