We may find out today which public school boards will see elementary teachers walk of the job on Monday.
The elementary teachers union says it will start giving the boards the required five-day notice ahead of the first round of rotating strikes.
The union said last week that it was planning rotating strikes to start to start on January 20th if a deal was not reached by this coming Friday.
A deal seems nearly impossible by then. The union says no contract talks have been scheduled.
It's worth noting that this is the first time since 1997 that all of the province's teachers unions have taken part in job action.
