NEWSTALK 1010 has learned that more sexual assault allegations have been brought forward by RCMP recruits, this time against an Ontario doctor.
An internal memo obtained by NEWSTALK 1010 says the RCMP received the complaints after allegations against a Nova Scotia doctor made the news earlier this week.
"New allegations of sexual assault during recruitment medical examinations have arisen regarding the conduct of a different doctor" in Ontario, the memo states.
The alleged assaults happened between the mid-80s and early 90s.
Toronto police, who have jurisdiction in the case, have been notified and the sex crimes unit is investigating.
"No arrest has been made," spokesperson Meaghan Gray says. "At this time, (investigators) don't believe there is a threat to public safety."
In a statement, the RCMP says the doctor no longer practices with their Ontario division.
