Forget any plans of a smooth ride into work Friday morning -- in fact -- it will be a messy commute to end the working week as well.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, saying there is a disturbance brewing over the southern plains sates, and expected to move towards Southern Ontario Thursday night and into the early hours of Friday morning.
The national weather agency expects 4 to 8 centimetres to accumulate in most areas on Friday, with as much as 10 centimetres in other areas.
While that may have an impact on your morning commute, Environment Canada says the evening drive will be most affected, with more snow falling up until Friday evening.
It is telling travellers to put aside extra time for travel to and from work.
