You may think traffic would be lighter on the roads because it's a short week, and normally, you'd be right.
But on Thursday afternoon, that could be a different story.
There's a rare Toronto Maple Leaf matinee game at the Scotiabank arena, with the puck dropping against Minnesota at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
What that means, is that the crowds will be letting out of the game, right around the time rush hour begins in downtown Toronto.
To deal with the added influx of people, police and public transit operators have a plan.
"What we have been planning with Toronto Police, MLSE and the City of Toronto, is making sure we have a plan in place that allows for pedestrians, commuters and fans to all travel safely in that time period."
Metrolinx spokesperson Anne-Marie Aikins tells NEWSTALK1010's Moore in the Morning.
Police will be shutting down a section of Bay street south of Front, for about an hour, starting at 4:30pm.
Aikins says they are asking people to try to avoid Union station if you can, instead suggesting you walk up Bay Street and head to St Andrew or King Stations, until the crowds work their way through the system.
Heads up as game will get out the same as afternoon rush hour. We will have extra staff on duty to ensure fans & transit users can safely navigate around Union Station https://t.co/9mldniwlod
