There are no flights landing or flying out of Toronto Pearson due to the extreme winds blowing through the GTA.
The Greater Toronto Airports Authority can't give an estimated time of when it could be lifted. There is no minimum wind speed that would guide the decision, that a lot of it is based on worker safety.
At one point, winds were clocked at 118 km/h.
Meanwhile, UP Express has suspended service until further notice because the winds are causing mechanical problems and debris to fly onto the tracks.
GO Transit is reporting train and bus delays due to fallen trees and debris blocking the roads and tracks, broken railway crossings and power outages.
Toronto Hydro is dealing with roughly 4,000 customers without power; Hydro One is responding to 180,000 customers without power. Because of conditions neither can give an estimated time of restoration.
