Monday, February 17 is Family Day in Ontario. And while not everyone gets the day off, for those that do, here are a few things happening in the GTA!
Kids Fest Toronto
February 15-17, designed to make your kids bounce, laugh, run and play. Kids Fest Toronto has more than thirty themed inflatables inside 80,000 square feet at The International Centre, Hall 6 in Mississauga. Children can slide and bounce all day. Kids can also meet their favourite characters from TV and movies — Saturday, Marvels Spiderman slings in; Sunday, Chase and Skye from Paw Patrol are on a roll; and Monday, Michelangelo and Raphael, from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (more)
Art Gallery of Ontario
Toronto-based Ness Lee, a recent AGO Artist in Residence, takes over Walker Court for large interactive moments of play as part of our four-day Family Day weekend program. Family Day at Scarborough Museum

The Bentway Skate Trail Family Day
Open from 12 to 9pm, special family-friendly programming includes skate rentals all day, Pyjama-Rama party, Fay & Fluffy's storytime and an interactive blanket fort installation (more)
Fort York National Historic Site
Family Winter Fun Day at Fort York — FREE — Fort York will be packed with hands-on activities, performances and exhibitions. Check out the 1826 kitchen and try some baked goods and hot chocolate prepared over the hearth (more)
Riverdale Farm

Nathan Phillips Square skating party
Everyone is invited to visit Nathan Phillips Square from 1 to 4pm and take part in a fun-filled outing sponsored by Tim Hortons, which will feature informal skating instruction and hot beverages. Skate rentals are available (more)
Skating
There are 54 outdoor rinks or skating trails to choose from across the city. Many indoor arenas will also be open on Family Day. There is no charge for public skating at the City's indoor arenas and outdoor rinks. CSA-approved hockey helmets are mandatory for children under the age of six (more)
Tobogganing
When there is snow on the ground, why not get out and try tobogganing in your neighbourhood. A map of toboggan hill locations and safety tips is available here
Skiing and snowboarding
Earl Bales and Centennial Park ski and snowboard centres will be open on Family Day, weather permitting (more)
