A Toronto father and son have filed a lawsuit against the TTC and two transit enforcement officers, claiming they were assaulted and unlawfully arrested in an incident two years ago.
They're seeking $4 million dollars in damages.
Russell and Jamie Gillman got into a dust up with two transit enforcement officers at Union Station while they were returning home from a Leafs game. The fight was caught on video.
The Gillmans were arrested and charged with uttering threats and assault. However, the charges were withdrawn last month.
Their lawyers claim Russell suffered an arm injury and Jamie suffered head and shoulder injuries and facial lacerations.
They allege the two transit enforcement officers applied excessive and unreasonable force and that the TTC allowed unqualified and inadequately trained employees to work as transit officers.
