The federal government has announced nearly 1.8-million dollars in funding for early childhood development projects in the Greater Toronto area.
It says the projects are aimed at finding new and innovative ways to improve early leaning and child care service delivery.
The funding is going to a total of seven projects, including a study on social finance models for early learning child care as well as studies on improving staff qualifications.
Toronto Liberal M-P Adam Vaughan says in a statement that the federal government is committed to finding creative solutions to ensure children get quality early learning that will help them build the skills they need to succeed.
