The female driver of a double decker-bus tour bus was taken to hospital Wednesday evening after the vehicle mounted a curb and collided with a car in Cabbagetown.
The collision occured at Sherbourne and Gerrard streets at around 7 p.m.
According to Toronto police, it appears the bus was forced onto the sidewalk, where it struck a pole, bringing down wires and lights in the intersection.
Toronto Paramedic Services confirmed the bus driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a trauma centre.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are investigating the collision.
