The city of Toronto is making it easier for you to fight your parking tickets.
A new system is being launched next Monday that will have city staff go through disputes, instead of the provincial courts.
When you want to fight a ticket, you will be able to request a review online on the city's website, or in person at Metro Hall or the North York Civic Centre.
You will no longer have to wait for the case to go in front of a judge, which can take several months.
City screening officers will now take over reviewing the disputes, with the authority to change or cancel the penalties.
Officials say the officers might be able to resolve the issue immediately, depending on the case and the proof you have.
In addition to being more convenient and quicker for drivers, officials say they estimate this will save the city $2.7-million a year.
