Financial compensation has come through for Canadians who drive Volkswagens.
Owners who were caught up in the company's emissions test cheating scandal will share in up to $2.1 billion.
The award comes from a class action lawsuit involving Canadian drivers of the affected Volkswagen models.
Payouts range from $5,000 to $8,000 and drivers can sell the affected vehicles back to Volkswagen Canada, or have them repaired.
The settlement, which still needs to be approved, comes more than a year after Volkswagen admitted to installing so-called 'defeat devices' on diesel vehicles to cheat on emissions tests.
There were more than 100,000 affected Volkswagen cars on Canadian roads when the company owned up to the allegations.
