Police west of Toronto have arrested five people and recovered more than 20 luxury vehicles believed stolen.
Peel Regional Police allege the ring, with connections to provinces from Quebec to British Columbia, planned to ship the vehicles overseas.
The investigation began in April and officers arrested two international students.
After eight further searches, they laid new charges against the students and three other suspects.
Police say they've seized Mercedes, Audis and a Bentley worth a total of $2.2 million.
They say more arrests are expected.
