Police have arrested five people in connection with the attempted robbery at the Rolex store in Yorkdale Mall.
The five people were all wearing surgical masks and hoodies on Friday afternoon, when they walked into the store.
Police say four of them were armed with hammers, and smashed display cases, in an attempt to get the jewellery and watches in the cases.
One of them allegedly assaulted a security guard with the hammer, before they all took off.
The K9 unit was called in, and with the help of a dog named Jango, the suspects were tracked down and arrested.
A 32-year-old man, three 17-year-olds and a 14-year-old boy were all arrested.
It was originally called in as a shooting, but police later confirmed that a gun was never used, and they believe the sound was the hammers smashing the display cases.
No injuries were reported.
