Four men have been charged in connection with a murder that reads like the script of a gangster movie.
Police say early in the morning of November 7 a group of men grabbed a male victim in the parking lot of a business near Midland Ave and Finch Ave W in Toronto. The man was bound and forced into a vehicle. Moments later, a second victim was shot. Const. Andy Pattenden says while the suspects were trying to get the shot victim into the car, the first man who had been bound managed to break free, jump out of the car and run off.
Investigators believe the shot victim, 50-year-old Kong Wu Wang, was driven to Markham and left for dead at the side of the road near Old Kennedy Rd just north of Steeles Ave.
Pattenden could not say what the motive for the crimes appears to be. But investigators will consider the possibility of the involvement of organized crime given the number of people involved.
Four men have been charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.
They are:
Qiao Xi Zeng aka Ah Long
Xue Mao Gong aka Nono, Lolo or Lulu
Qin Long Xue aka Ken
Yong-Yout Salapseng
A warrant has been issued for a fifth man, Haoxing Feng aka Jay.
Pattenden says police believe Feng is in the GTA . If you see him, do not approach him but call 911.
