"When the officers arrived, they located several pedestrians injured. What we've determined is that four pedestrians that were directly struck by a vehicle. That vehicle was operated by a lone male driver," said a Toronto Police spokesperson.
Police say an eastbound car mounted the curb on King Street, just west of Bay Street, and struck the pedestrians on the sidewalk, before hitting a wall.
"All five - so the four pedestrians, including the driver - have all been transported to a local area hospital."
The male driver has since been arrested and charged with impaired driving.
