Ontario Provincial Police report another person has died of their injuries sustained in a head-on collision in Pickering Thursday. Three people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision happened on Highway 7, just before noon January 4.
Police said a westbound BMW with four people in it attempted to pass another vehicle near Sideroad 28. The driver lost control and collided with an eastbound Mercedes.
Three people in the BMW were declared dead at the scene, a woman in her 20s was rushed to hospital with critical injuries. THe driver of the Mercedes suffered minor injuries.
Sunday police identified that woman as 25-year-old Hayley Doyling and said she has now died of her injuries.
Police also formally identified the other victims of the crash as 69-year-old Diosdado Chahal, who was driving, 27-year-old Dhoser Chahal and 70-year-old Imelda Chahal, all from Oshawa.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
