French teachers will go on strike later this week, while informal talks between the Ford Govt. and the union representing Ontario's high school teachers are back on.
The Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens (AEFO) announced after little progress in talks on Friday, it will go ahead with a strike on Thursday.
That day there's also a strike for Ontario's Catholic teachers, and rotating ones for high school educators.
However, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation and the government will return for an informal meeting Sunday night, at the request of a provincial mediator.
Should more talks be requested, a more formal bargaining date will happen Monday.
The OSSTF and the government haven't spoken in two months.
