Toronto Police have laid new charges including gang sexual assault tied to the alleged attack of a woman inside the College Street Bar.
Police initially charged the bar's owner Gavin MacMillan and another employee Enzo De Jesus Carrasco in mid-December with sex assault, forcible confinement and sexual assault as party to the offence with any other person.
The charges stem from an alleged assault on a female patron inside the bar on College, near Bathurst St that began on December 14. Police allege the woman was given illicit drugs and alcohol and then assaulted.
On Monday, police charged MacMillan and Carrasco with four counts each of gang sex assault while the charge of sexual assault as party to the offence with any other person was dropped. Each man was also charged with trafficking in a scheduled substance.
Carrasco was hit with an additional four counts of sexual assault while MacMillan was charged with failing to Comply with a Recognizance order.
Toronto Police say their investigation is ongoing.
