You could call this a Christmas miracle out of Milton.
The driver of a pickup truck is alive to tell quite the tale after their vehicle was completely demolished by a GO Train this morning.
It was sitting at a crossing on Sixth Line near Derry Road East, totally stuck.
Crews did activate the emergency brakes but it was too late and watched in horror as the passenger inside the truck ran for their life!
The passenger managed to bolt moments before the train crashed into the truck just after 8:30 a.m.
The driver, though, was still stuck inside.
Halton Police Sgt. Barry Malciw says miraculously they only suffered minor injuries. "From what I understand there was a heavy layer of ice that was impeding the truck from moving forward."
None of the 1,500 passengers on board the train were injured.
