Concerns about guns kept Toronto Police busy before sunset Tuesday.
The most jaw-dropping violence came before noon in a plaza near Jane St and Hwy 400. Gunfire was exchanged between two groups of four or five men in a small plaza. NEWSTALK 1010's sister station CTV Toronto reports the first shots were fired inside a mini mart. The clash continued outside and resulted in a head-on crash on Jane that injured a bystander. It does not appear that anyone was shot.

A male victim was hit by at least one bullet just after 6 p.m. near Laughton Ave and Talbot St, in the St. Clair Ave W and Caledonia area. The victim is expected to survive.
Police were asked to check out two more reports of men with guns near Eglinton Ave E and Leslie St and near Bloor St W and Islington Ave but didn't find anything at either location.
Katrina Arrogante with Toronto Police says there's no reason to believe any of the incidents are related though investigators will keep an open mind.
On Tuesday night Arrogante could not offer suspect descriptions in the cases where people were injured. In the evening shooting, police may be looking for four male suspects. While the violence near Jane and the 400 was captured on video, police have no immediate plans to release the footage.
Monday Toronto Police shared updated statistics that show a year-over-year increase in the number of shootings in the city.
