Toronto Police are looking for suspects after a shooting in Scarborough late on Wednesday afternoon.
Cst. Alyson Douglas-Cook tells NEWSTALK 1010 it was around 5:00pm when 911 was bombarded with calls from witnesses in the area of Lawrence and Warden Avenues who said they saw people in two vehicles shooting at each other while traveling down the street.
She adds its not confirmed at this point whether gunfire was coming from both vehicles, or only one, but she says when cops got to the scene there were sure signs of a shooting.
One of the vehicles had flipped over and officers found blood inside.
Witnesses told police they saw several men running from where the crash happened but there's no sign of them, so far.
There's also no trace of the other vehicle involved.
Douglas-Cook says police found someone hurt not far away from where the vehicle flipped.
That person has been taken to hospital and is expected to recover.
Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto Police or Crime Stoppers.
