Hamilton Police believe someone knows something about the shooting of a seven-year-old boy but they have yet to come forward.
Last week, someone shot up a home in Hamilton's east end. Police think the shooter targeted that home but the little boy was an unintended target.
Police say the family is co-operating but there were others in that home who know something but have not come forward.
"There has been varying degrees of cooperation from the other individuals in the residence at the time," police say in a news release. "Police believe there are people who know what happened and encourage those individuals to come forward."
They've said a mother and her two children live in the home, but that there were also visitors from time-to-time.
They say three adults and two children where inside when the bullets were fired.
The boy is still in hospital recovering.
The only description from police so far is of a suspect vehicle.
They're looking for a light coloured sedan that sped away after the shooting.
