Hamilton Police have arrested one of two suspects in the shooting death of a Good Samaritan, who tried to intervene in a situation on the weekend.
They say 19-year-old Yosif Al-Hasnawi was trying to stop two men from harassing a man around 9 o'clock on Saturday evening in downtown Hamilton.
But officers say the two men then turned their attention on the teen, with one shooting him.
Police say he later died in hospital.
Thanks to tips from the public, detectives from the Homicide Unit found one man at a home in the Downtown area. He was arrested without incident at 3:30 on Monday morning.
He's been identified as a 20-year-old man from Hamilton, and is now charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
According to police, the other suspect is the shooter and has been identified but his name hasn't yet been released. He's wanted for second degree murder.
Cops are asking him to turn himself in.
