Hamilton Police are now offering a $50,000 reward in hopes of catching the people believed to be responsible for killing a mobster back in May of 2017.
That's when Angelo Musitano was gunned down in his driveway, after returning to his Hamilton area home.
His murder was linked to the murder of Mila Barberi and the attempted murder of Saverio Serrano in Woodbridge in March of 2017.
Officers have arrested one of three men wanted in the investigation, that happened in September of 2018.
Police are still looking for two men, Daniel Tomasetti and Michael Cudmore, who they say may be in Mexico.
But an organized crime expert we talked to, suggested they may be dead.
"One of them was closely associated with Daniel Renari, who'd been on the run since 2015. He was for the old Rizzuto crime family's a main Toronto point man." says Stephen Matelsky, a a criminology professor at Mohawk College, who spent more than two decades as a police officer specializing in organized crime. "When he was found murdered in a ditch in Mexico, it wasn't really a good sign for the two accused from Hamilton."
He admits $50,000 may not be enough to break this case, but he admits, "money does have an incredible way of getting people to provide informaton."
And the information police are seeking here, may be more to catch the kingpins of these organized crime groups.
