Health Canada has recalled Shermag Harrison 4 in 1 cribs, sold in Canada between January of 2015 and December of 2016.
The complaint is that the hardware on the cribs can become loose and detach, allowing the sides of the crib to widen, creating a hazardous gap in which infants and toddlers can become wedged or entrapped, posing risks of suffocation and strangulation.
There have been two cases reported where a gap appeared, but there have been no injuries.
Almost three thousand of the cribs were sold through Toys R Us.
