Environment Canada has dropped a heat warning for the Greater Toronto Area.
After close to a week of highs near or above 30 degrees, temperatures should return to seasonal tonight.
Wednesday is still going to be hotter than normal in the GTA with a projected high in Toronto of 28 and a Humidex of 34. That could break a record of 27.2 degrees set at Pearson Airport in 1973.
The mercury is expected to dip to 12 degrees for Wednesday night. Environment Canada puts the daytime high for Thursday at 19 degrees, right in line with the average for late September. The GTA will actually dip to below normal temperatures Friday and Saturday with forecasted highs of 16 degrees.
