On January 29, 2017 six men inside a Sainte Foy, Quebec mosque were killed in a terroirst attack.
Now a group from Quebec is hoping to finish a goal of one of the victims, Mamadou Tanou Barry, who was trying to build a water system in Conakry, Guinea.
A gofundme page has been set up to raise money to realize this goal of $25,000.
With the help of the non-profit organization Rain Drop the money collected will go to the completion of Mamadou Tanou Barry's life long dream of building wells in his birthplace.
One of the people behind the campaign Will Prosper spoke with Newstalk 1010's Desmond Cole, telling him "This man was just trying to build water wells to help this community in Guinea. This tragic event is touching so many communities this is something we should do something about."
The gofundme page says if they get more than needed to fulfill the water system project, a library of African literature will be build in the names of all the victims and their families in Sainte Foy, Quebec.
