There is no doubt about it; the GTA is an expensive place to live.
A new survey from the Angus Reid Institute has found that housing affordability has replaced transit as the top issue among those who live here.
More than half, 54 percent, list housing as their top concern. In 2015, that number was 36 percent.
It seems renters are being hit hardest. 59 percent say they are "seriously considering" leaving the GTA because of the high cost of housing.
Most believe the high prices are due to the area's desirability, others blame low interest rates or foreign buyers.
