You're not the only one hurting when you see your hydro bill.
Hockey rinks are raising the warning flag too.
While their rental rates haven't gone up yet, it's looking like that may happen unless something changes.
Jeff Duggan is the General Manager of the Vic Johnston Community Center, a not for profit rink in Mississauga, who says his hydro bill went up by 23 thousand dollars last year.
And already this year, the bill is up another five thousand over last year.
He says they tried to take measures to lower their power bill, including the installation of LED lights. But their bill went up.
Duggan blames the so-called 'green energy' initiatives on the hydro bill for the skyrocketing rates. Now, he'd like to see the province do something to bring those costs back in line.
While ice-rental rates haven't gone up yet, he says they will if nothing changes.
And that could make hockey unaffordable for many families.
"It would be a shame."
