It hasn't been this hot, for 73 years.
As the hot, humid weather lingered in Toronto for yet another day, the city set a new high-water mark for temperature for September 5th.
The temperature hit 32 degrees at Pearson, early in the afternoon on Wednesday. But it felt much warmer, more like 42 degrees with the humidity.
Environment Canada says the last time it was this warm, was back in 1945. Even then the high was only 31.7 degrees.
The average high for this time of year, should be around 23 degrees.
Several areas around the GTA were covered by a severe thunderstorm warning for a short time, but that warning was quickly lifted when storms failed to materialize.
