One moment he was getting his heart pumping on a late night jog. The next, a stranger was plunging a knife into his back.
A 25-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after Toronto Police call an unprovoked attack.
Det. Vic Meik says the victim was jogging near Dupont St and Manning Ave, east of Christie St a little after 11 p.m. Monday when he was jumped from the back.
The victim describes his attacker as a man between 50 and 60 years old, standing about 5'7 with a stocky build and grey hair in a buzzcut. He was wearing a light-coloured dress shirt tucked into dark pants. The victim says he was attacked with a large hunting knife.
Meik says Toronto Police would like to speak with anyone who has dashcam footage of the area around the time of the stabbing or with anyone who saw something suspicious.
