"Just having a good time."
That's the reason a 31-year-old Vaughan man gave to police when he was pulled over, clocked at 158km/h in a 40 zone on Martin Grove and Highway 7 on Sunday evening.
Constable Andy Pattenden with York Regional Police says the area where he was caught, was also a school zone.
It was around 8 o'clock when an officer, who was just returning from the scene of a serious collision, noticed the bright yellow Aston Martin Vantage fly past.
They managed to catch up and pull over the driver.
"While school was not in session, this is still a busy area for pedestrians, day and night." Pattenden tells NEWSTALK1010
The man is facing three charges, which include stunt driving, dangerous driving and speeding.
He'll be in court to learn his punishment, but that punishment will include hefty fines and the possibility of jail time.
The drivers pretty, yellow Aston Martin, has been impounded for a week.
