The King St restaurateur who caught attention for erecting a middle finger ice sculpture in front of his business wants a spot on Toronto City Council.
Al Carbone, owner of the Kit Kat Italian Bar and Grill plans to run in Ward 20 downtown.
Carbone will face opponents including TDSB trustee Ausma Malik and Moore in the Morning panelist Kevin Vuong. Though he has not registered, the Toronto Star reports recently defeated Liberal MPP Han Dong also plans to run.
Carbone has been a vocal opponent of the King St pilot, blaming the project that prioritizes streetcar traffic for a reported drop in sales
