Will the funding squabble between the province and the city take money out of your pocket?
Mayor John Tory tells Moore in the Morning, "I really hope not."
But city staff aren't ruling out a property tax hike to cover funding cuts by the province.
It could even mean you get a second tax bill this year asking you for more money.
City staff say the provincial cuts will leave Toronto short by $178 million.
The mayor says they will be able to find some efficiencies but, "The notion that you can make up, in the middle of the budget year, $175 million...I think people thinking about it will understand that...It's no way to do business."
The Ford government though, disagrees with the city's math and insists the money can be found through efficiencies.
