It is the place we saw some of Rob Ford's happiest public moments, where he seemed most at ease in his kelly green and golden yellow bomber jacket: at the edge of a football field in Etobicoke's Centennial Park.
A year after his death from cancer, the late mayor's family says it would to like to name the 2,200 seat venue known simply as Centennial Park Stadium in his honour.
"We were thinking of going with Rob's passion," Doug Ford said. "We don't want to name the park after him, we just want that one football stadium that he played in high school, he played with the Don Bosco Eagles and other teams that he coached. So we wouldn't mind calling in the 'Rob Ford Stadium'."
