The President of the Ontario Federation of Labour tells NEWSTALK 1010 that the Premier's recent comments about teachers are "very inappropriate" and Doug Ford is "thumbing his nose at the labour movement and we've not going to take it."
Yesterday, Ford urged teachers not to strike when contracts expire later this year and suggested that teacher pay, benefits, and vacation time makes the job "a great gig."
OFL President Chris Buckley tells Moore in the Morning he believes Ford is threatening teachers and claims he has refused to meet with the heads of any education union since he was elected last year.
Buckley claims he's been trying to trying to set a meeting with Ford since election day and it still hasn't happened.
