Peel Regional Police are searching for two men who abandoned a dog so badly injured it was put down.
Police say the pair hung out on a McDonald's patio near Bramalea Rd and Sandalwood Pkwy from about 3 a.m. on April 15 until 10:45 a.m. The men had a Yorkshire Terrier with them, a dog they did not bring with them when they left.
Staff members at the restaurant found the dog described as seriously injured. It was brought to a veterinary hospital where it was put down.
Police describe one of the suspects seen on surveillance footage as a man with a medium complexion, short dark hair with a full beard. He was wearing a grey sweater, blank pants and red and black Nike shoes.
The second suspect description is much more vague, simply a man with medium complexion.
