Maybe you should convince your daughter to dress up as Mary Poppins, this Halloween. The umbrella would come in handy.
It's going to be a wet one.
Environment Canada is calling for rain to start on Wednesday afternoon, and that rain will stick around right through the time your children head out on their annual candy hunt.
"We're looking at 25 to 50mm of rain, over a two day period," says Gerald Cheng from Environment Canada.
While he calls that "a lot of rain", Cheng says it's not going to be the kind of rain where we'll see Union Station flooded.
"It's a steady light rain," says Cheng. But he adds that it is going to stick around through Halloween.
"It's really a Halloween where you want your costume to work with the rain. That will be the key to successful trick-or-treating."
The rain is expected to pass through by late Thursday evening, so Cheng says there's a glimmer of hope that it will pass through quicker, which would mean less chance of getting wet while trick-or-treating.
