The Toronto Police Association says that 86 per cent of its members who took part in a vote say they do not have confidence in police chief Mark Saunders.
That is the result of a no confidence vote organized by the union.

The vote does not carry any weight, other than to put pressure on the chief to respond to the union's demand for additional resources. The union has argued that officers are being overworked.
Keep in mind that only 47 per cent of Toronto officers took part in the union vote. That means that the members who voted no confidence represent only about 40 per cent of the membership.
