This more than just yelling "fore" and hoping no one gets hit.
In this case, instead of an errant ball headed towards people, it was a car, driving on the cart paths of a golf course in Milton.
It happened on Monday afternoon, and Halton Regional Police say players had to scramble to get out of the way of an alleged drunk driver, on the paths at Greystone Golf Club near the 401 and Highway 25.
Police believe the same vehicle was involved in an earlier collision in Acton, but the driver didn't stop.
Dave Newsome is the director of operations at the course, and admits it's a miracle that no one was hurt.
"It was a very busy day. It was a beautiful, beautiful sunny day, we've been waiting a long time for this weather and it was the busiest day of the year so far."
Police say a 26-year-old man from Pickering was later arrested and charged with several offences including driving under the influence. Officers say he blew twice the legal limit in a breath test at the station.
It's believed the same driver was involved in earlier collisions in Acton.
There were no injuries and Newsome says damage to the course was minimal.
