Toronto Police have arrested and charged a 44-year-old man in an alleged sexual assault that happened inside a Toronto high school.
Officers say the man somehow managed to get into St. Joseph's Morrow Catholic Secondary School near Bayview and Cummer on Tuesday morning, and walked into the girls washroom.
When a 16-year-old girl entered, cops say he prevented her from leaving. Then, they claim, he sexually assaulted her.
She screamed, alerting school staff who came running and called police.
Edison Diamante was arrested and charged with forcible confinement, assault and sexual assault.
Police say the man had no ties to the school, meaning he wasn't a janitor or a teacher.
In a release, police say, "sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration."
