It's not often you hear of police making an arrest in "hate-fuelled" graffiti, but Police in Peel Region have done exactly that.
Cops arrested a 58-year-old Mississauga man and slapped him with a total of 45 criminal charges, related to messages written on city busses and bus shelters.
All of the messages contained derogatory references to Muslims.
Craig Handley is charged with 26 counts of miscief over $5,000 and 19 counts of mischief under $5,000.
He'll be in court next month.
Peel Police say they'll now work with the attorney general to potentially laying hate crime charges.
