Toronto Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old man in a stabbing that happened on the opening night of the Beaches Jazz Festival.
It was just before 11 o'clock on Thursday, July 25th, when a man walked up to another man and stabbed him.
Police have now confirmed the incident was unprovoked.
The victim suffered serious injuries, and was taken to hospital, but has since been released and is recovering at home.
On Tuesday, July 30th, Michael Jobe was arrested. He's now facing several charges, including attempted murder, possession of a weapon and four counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.
Police say the four counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, indicate he was armed with serveral weapons when he was arrested.
They wouldn't go into details as to what they were.
