The American man accused of packing a fake bomb into his suitcase then getting on a plane at Pearson is out of jail.
A lawyer for 58-year-old Joseph Galaska tells CTV News Toronto he was released Wednesday and is back home in Milwaukee.
Galaska was supposed to be released over the weekend after his son posted $5,000 bail but he was placed on an immigration hold by the Canada Border Services Agency.
The incident last Thursday was described as a "major security breach." It grounded the United Airlines flight and left passengers stranded for hours.
Galaska is charged with mischief.
