Toronto Police say one man is under arrest but they continue their search for another suspect following an assault that took place in the early morning hours of New Year's Day.
Officers were called to the Queen and Bathurst area at about 12:30 a.m. on January 1.
A 36-year-old man was walking along Queen Street when he got into an altercation with two other men.
He was then punched by one of the men, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious. That's when he was punched for a second time by the other suspect.
According to a news release, the two men then fled southbound on Bathurst in a newer model blue Dodge Charger.
Keron Alvarez, a 35-year-old Toronto man, was arrested on Friday and charged with aggravated assault. He will appear in court on Saturday morning.
Police continue to search for the second suspect, who is described as 25 to 35 years old, 6'0", with a slim build, corn rows and a beard.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black running shoes.
