Psst...wanna buy some exam answers?
A 28-year old man from Mississauga is facing a charge of breach of trust by a public officer, in an alleged scheme where he sold exam answers to students at the Ontario College of Trades.
Peel Police kicked off the investigation on September 5th, focusing on an employee at the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
Officers allege he had access to both the trade exams, and the tradeperson and journeyman database. From there, he was allegedly contacting failing applicants and offering exam answers for a fee.
While they didn't provide the exact details, Constable Danny Marttini says he could have been charging anywhere from the hundreds, to the thousands of dollars.
Umar Gilani was arrested on Thursday, and will be in court next month.
