How is it that a killer can walk away from CAMH and it takes more than a week and a half for us to find out about it?
Right now, a man found not criminally responsible in a gruesome 2014 fatal stabbing, is missing.
47 year-old Zhebin Cong disappeared from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health on July 3rd but police only issued a news release Monday.
The release did not mention Cong's violent past.
Toronto Police will not get into specifics, but tell NEWSTALK 1010 they were not immediately concerned based on what they heard from CAMH at the time.
They say further investigation and new information, prompted them to announce he was missing. They won't say what that new information was.
Police say they'll be watching hospitals and shelters to see if Cong turns up.
We've reached out to CAMH for comment but so far, have not heard back.
