Durham Regional Police are on the hunt for a suspect after a man in his 20's was shot in Whitby.
It happened around 5:30 Friday afternoon inside an apartment building on White Oaks Circle, in the area of Dundas and Highway 412.
The man was airlifted to a trauma centre to be treated for serious injuries.
A heavy police presence remained at the apartment well into the evening on Friday, but there was no immediate information on a suspect.
Roads were blocked off to accommodate the investigation.
