A person driving down the street in Brampton is in hospital after being shot.
The incident occurred in the Torbram Road and Steeles Avenue area just before 11:30 Saturday night .
Peel Police Const. Taryn Hill confirmed to NEWSTALK 1010 Sunday morning that the victim managed to walk into a nearby Tim Horton's asking for help, before he was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
"A 28-year-old man was shot while operating a vehicle southbound on Torbram Road."
Police are hoping that witnesses, who either saw the incident or may haver recorded something will step forward with any information.
"It was 11:29 p.m. on a Saturday night so there could be a lot of traffic. There is potential that there are possible people that did witness this."
So far police have no suspect information or a motive for the shooting.
